Abd al-Rahman IV
Template:Short description Template:Infobox royalty Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Malik (Template:Langx), commonly known as Abd al-Rahman IV, was the Caliph of the Umayyad state of Córdoba in Al-Andalus, succeeding Ali ibn Hammud al-Nasir in 1018.<ref>Template:Cite book</ref> That same year, he was murdered at Cadiz while fleeing from a battle in which he had been deserted by the very supporters which had brought him into power. His brief reign was similar to that of Abd al-Rahman V
