Bjargtangar, westernmost point of Europe
Bjargtangar ({{#invoke:IPA|main}}, regionally also {{#invoke:IPA|main}}) is the westernmost point of Iceland and is considered the westernmost point of Europe outside the mid-Atlantic archipelago of Azores (which are not classified as remote islands).<ref name="Bárðarson 1982 p. 197">Template:Cite book</ref> It is the westernmost point in the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) time zone.<ref name="time_Time">{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref>
