HMS Quentin was a Q-class destroyer laid down by J. Samuel White and Company, Limited, at Cowes on the Isle of Wight on 25 September 1940, launched on 5 November 1941 and commissioned on 15 April 1942. She saw service during the Second World War before being sunk in 1942 by German aircraft off North Africa.

Service historyEdit

Quentin attacked and sank the German submarine Template:GS with the aid of destroyers Template:HMS and Template:HMS in the Caribbean Sea near Trinidad on 3 September 1942. Quentin and the Australian destroyer Template:HMAS depth charged and sank the Italian submarine Dessiè off Algeria on 28 November 1942. Quentin was torpedoed by German aircraft and sank off North Africa on 2 December 1942 with the loss of 20 men,<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> only hours after participating in the Battle of Skerki Bank.
