The mosque was built in the Kerala-Islamic traditional Vastu shastra architectural style; and was extensively remodelled in 2004, maintaining its traditional style.Template:CN

An Uroos is conducted from the first to the seventh of Muharram every year.<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> The programs include talks on Islam and distribution of free food. The final day also has a big congregation where people from all over the world participate.<ref name="twocircles1"/>
