Patrea Smallacombe (born 13 October 1958, Adelaide, Australia) is an Australian writer and series script editor who contributed to numerous soap operas in 1986 and 1987<ref>Template:Cite book</ref> in her native Australia including The Young Doctors,<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> Prisoner,<ref>Template:Citation</ref> Neighbours<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> and A Country Practice<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> before moving to the United Kingdom in 1987.Template:Cn

In the United Kingdom, she has written for many British television shows including Emmerdale, EastEnders,<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> River City,<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> Brookside, Family Affairs, The Bill, Casualty<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> and also two separate stints penning scripts for the ITV1 soap opera, Coronation Street.Template:Cn
