Riviera
Template:About {{#invoke:Lang|lang}} ({{#invoke:IPA|main}}) is an Italian word which means Template:Gloss,<ref name="Chambers">Template:Cite encyclopedia</ref><ref name="Kolb">Template:Cite book</ref> ultimately derived from Latin {{#invoke:Lang|lang}}, through Ligurian {{#invoke:Lang|lang}}.<ref>Template:Cite encyclopedia</ref> It came to be applied as a proper name to the coast of Liguria (the Genoa region in northwestern Italy) in the form {{#invoke:Lang|lang}}, then shortened in English.
