{{short description|Foundation in the United States}} {{Multiple issues| {{primary sources|date=March 2009}} {{Update|date=September 2023}} }} [[File:bush powell americas promise.jpg|thumb|300px|President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell hold a press conference about America's Promise]] '''America's Promise Alliance''' is an American alliance of [[nonprofit]], community organizations, businesses, and government organizations dedicated to improving the lives of young people.<ref>{{Cite web |url=http://www.civicenterprises.net/MediaLibrary/Docs/Building-A-Grad-Nation-Report-2012_Full_v1.pdf |title=Balfanz, R., Bridgeland, M., Bruce, M. and Fox, J.R. America's Promise works to raise awareness about the importance of these resources and inspire actions that help more children and youth receive them. The organization does this by leading national public awareness campaigns, conducting research, hosting events and convening summits, and partnering with hundreds of national, state, and community organizations that work directly with youth.<ref>[https://conservancy.umn.edu/bitstream/handle/11299/125510/Americas-Promise-A-Catalyst-for-Youth-Issues.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=y Floyd, D. and Sauer, R.(n.d.), America’s Promise: A Catalyst for Youth Issues.
