At the nearby vast [[Kasta Tomb|Kasta burial mound]], an ancient Macedonian tomb has recently been revealed. The [[Lion of Amphipolis]] monument nearby is a popular destination for visitors. It was located within the region of [[Edonis (region)|Edonis]].
