It is speculated to be the site of ancient [[Dulichium]].

It is 16&nbsp;km southeast of [[Kalamos (island)]], 30&nbsp;km southwest of [[Agrinio]], 35&nbsp;km northwest of [[Missolonghi]] and 55&nbsp;km southeast of [[Preveza]].
