Atira asteroids are by far the least numerous group of [[near-Earth object]]s, compared to the more populous [[Aten asteroid|Aten]], [[Apollo asteroid|Apollo]] and [[Amor asteroid|Amor]] asteroids.<ref name="neo-jpl-stats" />
