'''Bayawan''', officially the '''City of Bayawan''' ({{langx|ceb|Dakbayan sa Bayawan}}), is a  [[Cities of the Philippines#Legal classification|component city]] in the [[Provinces of the Philippines|province]] of [[Negros Oriental]], [[Philippines]]. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 122,747 people.{{PH census|current}}

The town is home to the [[Magahat language|Minagahat language]], the Indigenous language of Southern Negros as listed by [[Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino]]. The language is vital to the culture and arts of the people of southern Negros.
