The brightest member galaxy is the [[elliptical galaxy]] [[NGC 4696]] (~11m). The Centaurus cluster shares its supercluster, the [[Hydra–Centaurus Supercluster]], with [[IC4329 Cluster]] and [[Hydra Cluster]].
