'''Colin Archer''' (22 July 1832&nbsp;– 8 February 1921) was a Norwegian [[naval architecture|naval architect]] and [[shipbuilding|shipbuilder]] known for his seaworthy pilot and rescue boats and the larger sailing and polar ships.
