Considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, Gable is a two-time [[NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships|NCAA Division I]] national champion, a [[1971 World Wrestling Championships|World]] gold medalist, and an [[1972 Summer Olympics|Olympic]] [[Wrestling at the 1972 Summer Olympics β Men's freestyle 68 kg|gold medalist]].
