At the [[2021 United Kingdom census|2021 UK census]], Goole parish had a population of 20,475. It is {{convert|16|mi|km}} north-east of [[Doncaster]], {{convert|19|mi|km}} south of [[York]] and {{convert|29|mi|km}} west of [[Kingston upon Hull|Hull]].
