Gronings and the strongly related [[variety (linguistics)|varieties]] in [[East Frisia]] have a strong [[Saterland Frisian language|East Frisian]] influence and take a remarkable position within [[West Low German]]. Its typical accent and vocabulary differ strongly from the other Low Saxon dialects.
