A '''gutter punk''' is a [[Homelessness|homeless]] or [[Drifter (person)|transient]] individual who displays a variety of specific lifestyle traits and characteristics that often, but not always, are associated with the [[punk subculture]].<ref name="Goetz"/> Attributes may include unkempt [[dreadlocks]], nose rings, [[Mohawk hairstyle]]s, and tattooed faces.<ref name=LATimes/> Gutter punks are sometimes referred to as "[[crust punk|crusties]]", "crust punks", "traveler kids", "traveling punks", "punk [[Hobo|hobos]]”, or simply "travelers", among other terms.
