This page explains how to make the '''wikilink''', '''interwiki link''', or external '''web link''' (as [[hyperlink]]s) connections on Wikipedia, which gives readers one-click access to other Wikipedia pages, other Wikimedia projects, and external websites.

A link has various (changeable) appearances on the "anchor" page, and the "target" page, which owns the "backlinks", and which can count the links to it with the ''[[WP:What links here]]'' tool.
