Infantry generally consists of [[light infantry]], [[irregular infantry]], [[heavy infantry]], [[mountain infantry]], [[motorized infantry]], [[mechanized infantry]], [[Airborne forces|airborne infantry]], [[Air assault|air assault infantry]], and [[Marines|naval infantry]].
