'''James Basevi Ord''' (15 March 1892 – 30 January 1938) was a [[United States Army]] [[Lieutenant Colonel (United States)|lieutenant colonel]] killed in an air crash at [[Camp John Hay, Philippines]]. At the time, Ord was serving as the [[Office of the Military Advisor to the Commonwealth Government (Philippines)|Assistant Military Advisor]] to the [[Commonwealth of the Philippines]], under United States Military Advisor [[Douglas MacArthur]]. Ord was a member of the West Point class of 1915, "[[the class the stars fell on]]", that also included [[Omar Bradley]] and [[Dwight Eisenhower]].
