Many members are known as [[trapdoor spider]]s due to their creation of trapdoors over their burrows. Other prominent groups include [[Australian funnel-web spider|Australian funnel web spiders]] and [[tarantula]]s, with the latter accounting for around one third of all mygalomorphs.
