'''Ninus''' ({{langx|el|Νίνος}}), according to Greek historians writing in the [[Hellenistic period]] and later, was the founder of [[Nineveh]] (also called Νίνου πόλις "city of Ninus" in Greek<!--Flavii Josephi opera omnia: "ἀπῆλθεν είς τὴν Νίνου πόλιν"-->), ancient capital of Assyria.
