Editing Ring latency (section)

In a ring [[computer network|network]], such as [[Token Ring]], '''ring latency''' is the time required for a [[signal processing|signal]] to propagate once around the ring. Ring latency may be measured in seconds or in bits at the [[data transmission]] rate. Ring latency includes signal [[propagation delay]]s in the ring [[Transmission medium|medium]], the [[Electrical cable|drop cable]]s, and the data stations connected to the ring network.
