The Rowperfect is also unusual in offering a limited tilt seat, which compels the rower to control their weight distribution during the power stroke and recovery. It is considered to be a useful aide to teaching rowing.<ref>{{cite journal|last=Elliott|first=Bruce|title=The rowperfect ergometer a training aid for on water single scull rowing|journal=Sports Biomechanics|year=2002|volume=1|issue=2|pages=123β134|url=http://www.rowperfect.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/wais_uwa.pdf|publisher=Western Australian Institute of Sport|doi=10.1080/14763140208522791|pmid=14658370|s2cid=219694561 }}</ref>
