Pressing {{keypress|Ctrl|Scroll Lock}} performs the same function as pressing {{keypress|Ctrl|Pause/Break}}. This behavior is a remnant of the original [[IBM PC keyboard]]s, which did not have a dedicated [[Break (Pause)|{{keypress|Pause/Break}}]] key. Instead, they assigned the Pause function to {{keypress|Ctrl|Num Lock}} and the Break function to {{keypress|Ctrl|Scroll Lock}}.
