The gesture refers to [[Fingering (sexual act)|the sex act]] of inserting the [[index finger|index]] and [[middle finger]]s into a partner's [[vagina]] and the [[little finger]] into their [[Human anus|anus]], the latter of which is presumed to "shock" them.
