He played primarily for the [[St. Louis Cardinals]] and [[Atlanta Braves]], but he also spent time with the [[Florida Marlins]], [[Cincinnati Reds]], and [[Kansas City Royals]]. After his playing career, he became a coach for the Braves. Pendleton holds the record for most [[World Series]] appearances without a championship win, alongside [[Rube Marquard]] and [[Fred Merkle]], with 5 during his 15 year career.
