''Winning Days'' was recorded in the summer of 2003 at [[Bearsville Studios]] in [[Woodstock, New York]]<ref>{{Cite web|title=The Vines - Winning Days|url=https://www.discogs.com/The-Vines-Winning-Days/release/1159365|publisher=Discogs|access-date=25 May 2020}}</ref> and was assisted by Bill Synans. It was mixed in September 2003 at Cello Studios in [[Los Angeles]] and was assisted by Steven Rhodes.
