==Economy== Akwa Ibom State's economy is based on the production of [[crude oil]] and [[natural gas]]. Despite its vast oil revenues, Akwa Ibom ranks as seventeenth among the states [[List of Nigerian states by Human Development Index#2019]] in the [[Human Development Index]].
