==Early life and education== Colmes was born to a [[American Jews|Jewish]] family<ref>[http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/225581 Israel National News: "Jewish-American journalist Alan Colmes dies at 66"] February 24, 2017</ref> in [[Brooklyn, New York|Brooklyn]].
