==Description==
The Caroni Swamp is a 12,000 acre swamp <ref>{{cite web|title=Caroni Swamp and Bird Sanctuary|url=http://www.destinationtnt.com/caroni-swamp-and-bird-sanctuary/|website=Destination Trinidad & Tobago|publisher=SIGHTFACTORY Ltd|accessdate=5 May 2016}}</ref> located on the west coast of the island of Trinidad.  It is one of the largest mangrove forest on the island.
