== History == [[File:19thCentrifuge.JPG|right|thumb|upright=0.9|A 19th-century hand-cranked laboratory centrifuge.]] English military engineer [[Benjamin Robins]] (1707β1751) invented a whirling arm apparatus to determine [[Drag (physics)|drag]].
