==Early life and education== He was born David Levy in [[Charlotte Amalie, United States Virgin Islands|Charlotte Amalie]], on the island of [[Saint Thomas, United States Virgin Islands|St. Thomas]]. Moses Levy was a first cousin and business partner of Phillip Benjamin, who was the father of [[Judah P.
