==History== The riding was created in 1987 from [[Winnipeg North Centre]] and [[Winnipeg—Birds Hill]] ridings. It was previously named Winnipeg—Transcona from 1987 to 2003.<ref>{{Cite web |last=CBC News |date=Sep 20, 2010 |title=Elmwood - Transcona |url=https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/elmwood-transcona-1.966909 |website=CBC News}}</ref> The riding gained territory from [[Kildonan—St. Paul]] and a fraction from [[Saint Boniface—Saint Vital|Saint Boniface]] during the [[2012 Canadian federal electoral redistribution|2012 electoral redistribution]]. Following the [[2022 Canadian federal electoral redistribution]], the riding will lose the area north of Leighton Avenue and west of Raleigh Street to [[Kildonan—St. Paul]] and will gain the [[Navin, Manitoba|Navin]], [[Norcan, Manitoba|Norcan]] and [[Dugald, Manitoba|Dugald]] areas from [[Provencher]],
