The band signed a recording contract when Hebden was 15,<ref name=Independent20080713/> and released their first album, ''[[Ceefax (album)|Ceefax]]'', on [[Trevor Jackson (musician)|Trevor Jackson]]'s [[Output Recordings]] label in March 1997.
