Males are usually {{convert|71|to|76|cm}} tall at the [[withers]], and weigh on average {{convert|27|to|40|kg}}. Females tend to be smaller, with shoulder heights ranging from {{convert|66|to|71|cm}} and weights from {{convert|25|to|34|kg}}, although weights can be above and below these average weights.<ref name="Oaks18" /> Greyhounds have very short fur, which is easy to maintain.
