==Term== The term "humility" comes from the [[Latin language|Latin]] word {{lang|la|[[wikt:humilitas#Latin|humilitas]]}}, a noun related to the adjective {{lang|la|[[wikt:humilis#Latin|humilis]]}}, which may be translated as "humble", but also as "grounded", or "from the earth", since it derives from {{lang|la|[[wikt:humus#Latin|humus]]}} (earth).
