==History== The town was founded in 1873<ref>{{cite book | url=https://books.google.com/books?id=w0PWAAAAMAAJ&pg=PA134 | title=A Twentieth Century History of Marshall County, Indiana, Volume 1 | publisher=Lewis Publishing Company | author=McDonald, Daniel | year=1908 | pages=134}}</ref> and was named for [[La Paz]], Bolivia. At the time of its founding, it was served by the [[Chicago]] branch of the [[Baltimore and Ohio Railroad]], now [[CSX]]. The B&O named a coach [[La Paz (B&O)|''La Paz'']] in 1949 to honor the town.
