==Etymology== ''Las Posadas'' derives from the [[Spanish language|Spanish]] word ''posada'' (''[[lodging]]'', or ''[[:wikt:accommodation|accommodation]]'') which, in this case, refers to the inn from the [[nativity of Jesus|Nativity]] story.
