Various factors contribute to an individual's longevity. Significant factors in life expectancy include [[gender]], [[genetics]], access to [[health care]], [[hygiene]], diet and [[nutrition]], [[exercise]], [[lifestyle (sociology)|lifestyle]], and [[crime rates]].
