He attended schools in England, including in [[Louth, Lincolnshire|Louth]], [[Lincolnshire]], as well as in Scotland and Indonesia. He went to [[Oakham School]] in [[Rutland]] before being accepted to the [[Royal Academy of Dramatic Art]] (RADA) at 17.
