==Name== Nectanebo is derived from the Greek form of his name, grc-latn (grc, or grc in later sources). His Egyptian name was Nḫt-Ḥr-Ḥbt, which means "victorious is Horus of Hebyt". Although convention in English assigns identical names to him and his grandfather, Nectanebo I, the latter was in fact called grc-Latn (grc). Medieval Arab authors referred to him as Naqatanibas (ar).
