==History== Founded in 1963 as the Ngee Ann College by the [[Ngee Ann Kongsi]], Ngee Ann Polytechnic started with 116 students, offering courses in language, commerce, and technology.<ref>{{Cite web |title=Our Milestones |url=https://www.np.edu.sg/about-np/our-story/our-milestones |access-date=2023-05-05 |website=Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) |language=en}}</ref> In December 1990, Ngee Ann Polytechnic applied for a radio station broadcasting on [[amplitude modulation|AM]], with its programmes produced by mass communication students, concentrating on talk shows.
