==History== In 1968, the [[Law Enforcement Assistance Administration]] (LEAA) was established under the [[Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968|Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act]]; LEAA was abolished in 1982. Its predecessor agency was the Office of Law Enforcement Assistance (1965β1968).
