== Early life ==
Gerin was born on October 7, 1975, in [[Detroit]], [[Michigan]]. He is of Italian descent, with his ancestry being [[Venice|Venetian]]. He graduated from [[Annapolis High School (Michigan)|Annapolis High School]] in [[Dearborn Heights, Michigan]] where he was on the wrestling team.
