He married Nephthys and had had relationships with the foreign goddesses [[Anat]] and [[Astarte]] in some accounts. Though it has commonly been assumed that Set was married to Nephthys and therefore must have been considered the father of Anubis,<ref>Doxey 2001,p.98.</ref><ref>E.A.
