==Infrastructure and services== {{Tattenham Corner Line|collapse=y}} The Tattenham Corner line is a railway line in [[Surrey]] and [[Greater London]], England. It runs for {{cvt|8|mile|14|ch|km}} from its terminus at [[Tattenham Corner railway station| Tattenham Corner station]] to an [[grade separation|at-grade]] junction with the [[Caterham line]], {{cvt|15|mi|23|ch|km}} down the line from [[London Charing Cross]] and {{cvt|10|ch|m}} south of [[Purley railway station|Purley station]].{{sfn|"Sectional Appendix"|2009|pp=289-292}} The maximum speed permitted on the branch is {{cvt|60|mph}}.{{sfn|"Sectional Appendix"|2009|pp=289-292}}{{sfn|"Route Specifications"|2016|pp=105-108}} The line is [[railway electrification in Great Britain|electrified]] using the 750 [[Volt|V]] [[direct current|DC]] third-rail system and is double tracked throughout. At Purley, trains join with or split from a train travelling to or from {{rws|Caterham}}.
