==Early life== Davis was born to nurse Kateree Davis, a mother of eight children, and father Joe Davis. Davis set the Lincoln Prep record in the [[discus throw]] as a member of the [[Track and field|track team]]. After graduation, Davis went on to play baseball at [[California State University, Long Beach|Long Beach State University]].
