== Description == The original [[DARPA]] Internet Protocol's [[Request for Comment|RFC]] describes{{Ref RFC|791|rsection=1.4}} TTL as: {{Quote|text=The Time to Live is an indication of an upper bound on the lifetime of an internet [[datagram]].
