==Taxonomy==
The triggerfish family, Balistidae, was first proposed in 1810 by the French [[polymath]] [[Constantine Samuel Rafinesque]].<ref name = VDLEF>{{cite journal | author1 = Richard van der Laan | author2 = William N.
